We are amongst the few practices in the UK to implement the unique Orthoscopics light based system in practice, for those with visual perception problems.

This technology uses an ‘additive’ approach of using 3 light sources (red, green and blue), which are individually introduced to precisely match the colour responses of the receptors in the eye of the individual. It works by stripping out certain ‘offensive’ wavelengths of light, easing interference in a person’s sensory perception. Not only does it allow us to increase the saturation of the colour without losing brightness, but also enables use in a wide variety of lighting conditions. This system allows us to reach much deeper into colour space than other colour systems, therefore achieving a much greater capability of help for individuals, depending on their needs.  Read More…
