Dry eye can make your eye feel uncomfortable, red, scratchy and irritated. Despite the name, having dry eye can also make your eyes watery. Typically, dry eye doesn’t cause a permanent change in your vision.
Myopia Managment
Myopia is blurry long-distance vision, often called “short-sighted’’ or “near-sighted”. A person with myopia can see clearly up close – when reading a book or looking at a phone – but words and objects look fuzzy on a blackboard, on television or when driving. But a pair of glasses aren't the whole story.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
McCrystal Opticians have recently invested in cutting edge OCT technology, allowing us to see beneath the surface of the eye in more depth than is possible with current techniques or equipment.
Schoolvision
Schoolvision studies the way our eyes work together as we read; in particular the relationship between vision and difficulties with reading (including dyslexia). Words and letters appear to shift out of order sending confused messages to the brain which can cause difficulties in reading and spelling.If this takes place while a child is learning to read the effect on their confidence, enjoyment of reading and behaviour can be profound, with long term effects into adulthood - so while it is never too late to help adults with reading difficulties, the greatest benefits are achieved by addressing these issues during childhood.
